Travelling to Europe for Christmas 2008
We were supposed to fly out to Europe for the holidays on Friday December 19 but -as always- a weather delay meant we could not catch our connecting flight to Amsterdam. We were re-routed to London Heathrow the next day where we drove up to Norwich to spend a week with Hayley's mum and the family. Scarlett slept well during the flight but barely fits in the baby bassinet at 9 months with her 26 pounds...

Phoenix Coyotes vs. San Jose Sharks
Last evening I took Phoenix to his first icehockey game. Although the Coyotes lost 2-3 from the Sharks it was a fun game to watch. In two weeks time we will go to see the Coyotes against the Detroit Red Wings, a very strong team

Coldplay
Hayley and I went to Coldplay in Phoenix last night. Hayley thought it was great, I thought the show was a bit short and sterile (i.e. little emotions/interaction with the crowd). Maybe this was because this was the last concert of their US tour and they were bored/fed up with playing by now

Weekend in Tucson
Hayley and I went away for a weekend-without-kids (1st time on 2.5 years!) to Tucson. It was nice and relaxed although Tucson is not very exciting

Felix Grand Canyon & Flagstaff
Felix came over for a few days and we drove to the Grand Canyon and stayed overnight in Flagstaff. It was election night and Felix exchanged his Lacoste poloshirt for a sour-sweaty Obama shirt worn by a femal campaigner for at least one year without washing...

San Diego
David, Ted, and myself spent three days in San Diego on business and stayed in a very nice hotel (Colonial Grand), which is located in ‘downtown’ La Jolla and very close to the sealbeach
